          Feature: Moon Knight's Costume

Feature: Moon Knight in Video Games
05-12-11 by: CptFishStick

It was only a matter of time before Moon Knight made it into videogames. Within the last few years, we have been lucky enough to have Moon Knight appear in several games. These appearances cover a broad range within games. He can be seen in unplayable support roles, as a fully playable character, and even as the theme to a pinball table. The following is a list of games featuring Moon Knight.

MOON KNIGHT PINBALL
Pinball FX 2: Vengeance and Virtue

Platform: 360 (Live Marketplace), PS3 (Online Store)
Release December, 2011

Pinball FX is one of the most critically acclaimed pinball simulators available today. It functions as an expandable framework in which players can download new tables to play within the comfortable system. In 2011 They released a pack of 4 Marvel themed Pinball tables under the title "Vengeance and Virtue". Moon Knight was one of the 4, and can be purchased on its own. With this in mind, it can be argued that this is the first official Moon Knight video game. This attractive table is well crafted, and a great addition to the Pinball FX set. Within this table you can see Moon Knight, Bushman, Dark Spector and More come to life and battle in 3D. The Multiball involves the Mooncopter flying around the table and dropping the balls throughout the table. Its a great experience for Moon Knight and Pinball fans alike.

Marvel Ultimate Alliance

Platform: 360, PS3, Wii Versions Only. PC Via Unofficial Patch.
Release October 24, 2006

In 2006 Activision released Marvel Ultimate Alliance, an Action RPG developed by Ravensoftware. With more than 22 playable characters from the Marvel universe, MUA allowed players to create squads of 4 to take down evil-doers. Moon Knight was a character that was exclusive to the Playstation 3, Xbox 360, and Wii versions of the console. However, thanks to some tech savy people, a patch was released that allows people to add Moon Knight to the PC version as well. Also, due to a bizzare glitch, it is possible to make Moon Knight temporarily avaliable on the PS2 version of the game. All of the characters have 3 different unlockable costumes. Moon Knight comes with the classic costume, the Fist of Khonshu costume, and the Ultimate costume. He carrys his staff, and has the ability to throw crecent darts.

Spider-man: Web of Shadows

Platform: PC, 360, PS3, Wii Versions Only
Release October, 2008

In 2008 Activision released Web of Shadows, a game developed by Treyarch for multiple platforms. Moon Knight can only be found in the PS3, 360, Wii, and PC Versions. This plot driven action title takes place during a symbiot invasion of New York city. Similar to other spider-man games, it involves a fast paced arcade style brawling, as well as an Open world environment. Throughout the game you encounter various other Marvel Heroes, of which Moon Knight is one. At points in the game you can call Moon Knight in to help you in your quest. Unfortunately, you never get the opportunity to play as Moon Knight. It is notable that you can see both the Moon Copter as well as Spector Corp Tower in this game.

During the credits an image of a symbiotic Moon Knight is shown

Marvel: First Alliance - A Fan Game for a change

Platform: PC Download

Fan video games are nothing new, particularly those based on comic books characters. Like me, the pinacle of Comic videogames was during the early 90's with the beat-em-up genre made famous by Streets of Rage, Golden Axe, Double Dragon, etc. A recent, and promising looking fan game in this genre has decided to include Moon Knight in the Roster. Here is a video of this game in action.
